Endorsement in Intercultural Engagement

Bethel’s intercultural engagement endorsement combines courses, activities, and experiences to help students develop an awareness of their cultural beliefs, behaviors, history, practices, and values—and become equipped to understand and appreciate those characteristics in others as well.

One semester abroad (12-18 credits)
One semester off-campus in a Bethel-approved domestic program that engages a different culture(s) (12-18 credits)
One summer abroad (3-6 credits)
One January Session abroad with an affiliate provider OR a Bethel faculty-led program, designated with a Z-tag (3-6 credits)
Required Activities:
Membership in Kingdom Culture for at least one semester
Attend 5 relevant events on or off campus
Attend the Office of International and Off-Campus Programs' Pre-Departure Orientation and Re-entry workshops
Total Credits11-26
